Toronto is a vibrant, multi-cultural city and it is a fantastic idea to buy a home here. The problem is, it is also an expansive city. Due to this, it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly what area to live will work best with your lifestyle.

But don’t fret; we’ve made your search easier by narrowing down the finest neighbourhoods to buy a home in Toronto.

BRIDLE PATH

The Bridle Path is one the most well-known neighbourhoods in Toronto and it’s not just because Drake is building a house here. It has been established as one of the most esteemed areas in the city since the 1930s. It is partially surrounded by nature with the beautiful Sunnybrook Park and Edward Gardens. There is a fantastic selection of residential options in a variety of styles. No two mansions look the same here. If you’re looking for privacy or just space for your kids or pets to run around, most of the houses sit on a large amount of land. Some of them come with up to six acres for you to roam! If opulence and detached luxury homes interest you, you should definitely look to turn a house into a home in the Bridle path.

ROSEDALE

Rosedale is perhaps the most historic suburban area in Toronto. It has been known as a luxury neighbourhood among the city’s elite since 1820. It is located within close proximity to the downtown core with the well-known Bloor Street, or how its colloquially known, “Mink Mile” to the south, and the bustling St. Clair Avenue to the north.

However, walking down these quiet, cozy streets, you would have no idea you’re in such a central location. The majority of the homes in this area are lined with gorgeous greenery and look like they’re straight out of a history book. There are also some newly constructed condominiums for those who prefer more modern housing. If shopping and fine dining are your favourite activities, you should definitely look to buy a home in Rosedale.

LAWRENCE PARK

If you like stepping out of your house and feeling like you’re in nature without leaving the city, Lawrence Park is the neighbourhood for you. It is named after the 4.6-hectare park in the area. The park has lawn bowling, croquet and tennis as well as stunning walking trails and children’s playgrounds. It located above the intersection of Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue.  It’s not as close to downtown Toronto as Rosedale but this only increases the levels of not only exclusivity, but also privacy. Houses in this neighbourhood are more recently constructed than the historic homes in Rosedale and the Bridle Path but there is still a wide variety to choose from.
